So yeah I am done! And it’s recess week! (and time to start thinking of my personal statement for exchange programme application. Apparently HKU only has 1 slot opened to the entire faculty %^$^#$$#^% and the speaker during the exchange programme talk warned us that Hong Kong is one of the more popular destinations for exchange and many students were disappointed cos they couldnt get the university they wanted. City U and CUHK have 2 and 5 slots respectively, so I am thinking of CUHK as my 2nd option cos of their history programme. Problem is majority of their history modules are conducted in cantonese- I mean how is that even possible? Dont tell me the powerpoint slides are in cantonese?!?! I am struggling to learn from my dad who isnt very willing to teach me. I keep forgetting certain words and mixing them up with Hokkien. So I am totally risking it to apply to HKU and keeping my fingers crossed, although I am not very positive about it. Sekali I get rejected for all 3 universities cos others are more outstanding than me. Like how I get rejected despite trying for opportunities in school. #badluckchristina)
